Design Thoughts:
Font and Picture:
- I looked for images that portrayed stress due to time limits. I wanted people to think about the stress it causes waiting until the last minute to get something done.
- Colors: I used the eyedropper on the skin to make the lettering match shades of that color.
- Alignment: I aligned the words to the left to tie them all together.
- Proximity: I put the words "last minute" in close proximity to the clock so they were associated together.
- Contrast: I made the words "December 13th Deadline" larger and a different darker shade than the other words so people immediately know what the display is about, and so they also remember that there is an upcoming important deadline. I also made the words "last minute" a darker shade so they stood out and brought focus to the clock. I italicized both sets of those words to stress them even more.
- Repetition: I used the same text, drop shadow, and color shades for most of the text.
- Font: I used a scary looking font for the words "December 13th Deadline" because deadlines can cause stress and be scary if not taken care of.
- I used the transform tool on the upper words to stretch them out and make them bigger and stand out. I also stretched out all the words 115 to 140 horizontally because they were too compressed.
- I made the "tuition and fees" and "last minute" words bold to bring focus on them.
- I used the bevel and emboss style on the words "December 13th Deadline" to give them a sharper, more professional edge.
